Grant Application Deadlines: December 1, 2011 and April 1, 2012

Message from the Executive Director

Thanks to the generosity of Club Members, and other supporters of the YCCF, the Foundation has been working in close cooperation with a number of local organizations that are addressing priorities consistent with our mission; community service, education, and conservation. This year it has meant providing $500,000 in grants to 75 eligible organizations in 2011.

The YCCF continues to expand its successful partnership with the Ophir School District with a sustained commitment to keeping the rural school up to date with the technology that is imperative in keeping pace with current educational standards. The district approved a new position for a technology instructor, who thanks the YCCF, will have have the equipment to teach the upper-level computer courses to Lone Peak High school students.

We are proud to be working with local organizations that are addressing some of the communities most serious issues, such as hunger, education, and at-risk youth. This spring we have expanded our commitment to conservation, by supporting projects in and around Big Sky including the Jack Creek Preserve and Big Sky Community Cooperation’s trail system.

Where does our funding come from? In addition to unsolicited donations, the YCCF holds two fundraising events each year: The Wine and Song event in March and the Weiskopf Cup in August.

The next deadline for grant applications will be December 2011. Approved grants will be awarded in early 2012.

Sincerely,

Casey Schwartz, Executive Director
