James N. Alexander is a Founder and Managing Partner of Oak Hill Investment Management, L.P., and played key roles in the formation of Oak Hill Strategic Partners, L.P., Oak Hill REIT Management, L.L.C., and Platinum Grove Asset Management, L.P. Mr. Alexander is also a former CFO for Robert M. Bass in Texas, and a former Vice President for Goldman, Sachs & Co in New York.
He is a graduate of Montana State University in Bozeman where he received B.Sc. degrees in Mathematics and Economics, the Australian National University where he received an M.Sc. degree in International Economics, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he received an MBA.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee and Board member for the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. From 2001-2007, Jamie served as a Trustee for the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust. Jamie was born in Big Timber, Montana, so he has an identity with the local community.
